Welcome to the personal pages of Nishita Desai. My interests include travelling, photography, programming and playing piano.
- I am a physics graduate student. I am interested in exploring various extensions of the Standard Model of particle physics. I am currently working on understanding various supersymmetric scenarios and their collider signatures with the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in mind. My study requires me to use various event generators, the most common being PYTHIA. I've written down things I found I needed most as a quick reference. You will find such articles and and some short programs in the Physics section.
- I wrote a blog titled Big Bizarre from October 2006 to November 2007 about my first impressions of Allahabad (with Girish Kulkarni). The archive can be found here.
- Photographs taken with my old Sony DSC-P70 are here. This account is no longer updated. The ones taken with the newer Nikon D40 are here.
Here is a PDF file of my curriculum vitae.
